Would the loss of reality introduce a new reality? Can we be conscious without some sort of reality, whether it's internal or external? I don't think we can. I don't think we can perceive nothingness. Perhaps if you left the paper blank? However, blank paper wouldn't have been as interesting and then some smart ass would probably come along and say the blank paper was a reality in itself. I think the best way to represent the loss of reality is to do nothing and not represent anything. Maybe you could just wander around the streets whispering "reailtaetverlust" to random strangers to get your idea out there. I really don't know. You've made me think to much. Now I won't be stupid enough to make my stupid cartoons. Thanks for ruining the holiday season for me!

It depends on the definition of reality. If every single change in a setting leads to a new reality than the loss of one is for sure another reality.
You cannot be conscious about whether something is internal or external, but does it make a difference? I guess I would even prefer the internel view, it seems more flexible to me.
I like your idea with whispering "realitätsverlust" to strangers, maybe I'll try it when I am in the right mood.
Btw. your cartoons are not stupid or actually it depends ... if the definition of cartoon, or let's say the cartoon realitiy is charachterized with the feature of beeing stupid than yours are, but in this case the stupidity is the only right thing..
Nevertheless it still seems to be a consensus on what people understand as reality. Losing this kind of thing is on one side not that bad, even desirable, but if you drift to far away of all known concepts it will lead definately into problems ... :)
